“Uranium5ive” consists of 5 students from Universiti Tenaga Nasional and is established for a class project of the Introduction To Nuclear Technology subject. The purpose of this project is to create awareness among people especially Malaysian and to share any information about Nuclear Energy. What Is Nuclear?

NuclearForm by nuclear reactions, such as making a very complex element into a simpler one that process & create energy. The energy comes from the nuclear power plant which is a facility to generate continuous amount of electricity. Below shows a simple diagram of how nuclear energy is achieved:-


Nuclear – Is it Dangerous?

When everybody says about nuclear, they will think that:


This Power Plant will lead to THIS????

It is NOT TRUE when people say that Nuclear Power plant can explode like an atomic bomb as shown in the figure above.

In layman’s terms, nuclear bombs work by splitting the atoms of unstable radioactive material, which creates a lot of energy in the form of heat, light and deadly gamma radiation. The immense heat creates a powerful shock-wave that can level whole cities to the ground.
